Java Republic launches new single origin coffee to celebrate International Coffee Day
Introducing Costa Rica Dota Tarrazu AA, our latest limited edition single origin coffee.
At Java Republic, coffee is our passion. To celebrate this year’s International Coffee Day, we wanted to do something different and innovative. So, we are launching a brand new, limited edition, single origin coffee in recognition of International Coffee Day 2022.
Costa Rica Dota Tarrazu AA
In Costa Rica, it is illegal to produce any type of coffee other than 100% Arabica, the highest quality of coffee beans. This law encourages Costa Rican coffee farmers to pursue only the best of beans. The country's mountainous regions and mild temperatures also provide the perfect elements for growing high quality coffee beans.
Our new origin coffee is the outcome of one of our origin trips where coffee quality consultant, Luis Alvarez, travelled to the Tarrazú region to meet with local coffee farmers. The region of Tarrazú has a long-standing reputation for quality as the highest coffee farms in the country are in this region, benefitting from the distinct dry season during harvest.
The aroma of our newly launched coffee includes hints of grapes, forest fruits and honey. The flavours give way to gooseberry, red grapes, candied orange and white currant.
For a limited time only, this coffee will be available on our online store and to purchase in our Ballycoolin and Molesworth Street Cafés. When you opt for our Costa Rican coffee in our cafés from September 21st-30th, you will get 10% off your coffee order.
International Coffee Day 2022
The International Coffee Organization declared International Coffee Day in 2014 to celebrate coffee and recognise farmers in the industry. The day is celebrated with the aim of educating people on the effort that goes into each and every coffee bean. Here at Java Republic, we have shared some ways you can celebrate the day in our blog here.
